Colorado hospitals to do creative cost-cutting in 2019

When Centura Health laid off more than 50 employees in November, officials with the health system said the decision was tied to a multi-year plan to find more efficiencies across the organization.

Expect other Colorado hospitals to do the same, but not necessarily solely through layoffs. Those decisions will be made as the health care business continues to “change dramatically,” said Julie Longborg, vice president of communications for the Colorado Hospital Association.
